Funky Fairy Christmas Workshop

I signed up for the FF Christmas Workshop (I think there’s  still some places   left) – its now on Day6 and I’ve only just finished Day1!!!
That work thing just keeps getting in the way!
Anyhow here are my finished projects for day1 – I have to say I have really enjoyed doing them, especially the 3D frame!

The gift box I have made for it to go in wasn't part of the workshop but I made it for a gift and, of course , it needed to be “wrapped”!
This is a gift holder and matching card.

 
Day2 to follow – guess what I’m doing this weekend – yup – trying to catch up with the projects! Will keep me busy and not causing mischief!
I hope all you lucky peeps at the NEC are having a great time and are emptying your purses! Please share!
I made the decision not to go – I am going on the first Graphicus retreat next weekend – am keeping my pennies for then! I am on a sleep count down! Can’t wait, a whole weekend of getting inky and messy with the wonderful Glenda Waterworth and team.

Here's tonight's chaos!

I am trying to get a birthday card done – its last minute and I cant make my mind up which papers to use!
Some peeps asked me what was on my wall above my desk – here its is – lots of things I like to play with and then use later – I used to put them in a drawer and forget about them – I find they get used if they are right in front of me!
They are stuck on some sticky/static stuff I found in the Range – so far it has worked very well and has saved me banging holes in the wall to put notice boards up!

GD Funky Fairy Challenge - Autumn.

Here's my GD card for this week – Autumn
I just love these colours – so rich!
I decided to have another go at brayering – just love the mess I make!
Not being satisfied with a card, I made a gift box too!
Materials Used
Ink pad - Kaleidacolor, Cappuccino Delight brayed onto glossy cardstock
Stamps are from Graphicus, Natures Peace. The sentiment has been embossed in gold and the tree – well – this is a first – I gilded with metallic flakes from Crafty Notions! Just have to go down the messy road again!
Dps are from Funky fairy Swirls download – its free!
Sentiment on the box is FF birthday rounds.
I just love the way the swirls match those of the tree!
Cuttlebug embossing folder – sanded and then rubbed over with metallic rub-ons.

What a Day!

Here's a card I made for a colleagues birthday this week.

It is the first time I have tried my hand with Angelina fibres!  I will certainly be doing this again!

The day has been slightly traumatic – new washing machine, new dryer and 2 new showers fitted! That's me skint already!

Not much going on tonight I’m afraid – that work thing gets in the way during the week – but I still try and fit in a little creativity!

There are so many birthdays this week – so I am putting together a quick card and have decided to try some Angelina fibres with my new Clarity Stamps – love it!

As part of my birthday pressie last week I dragged OH to IKEA and this unit is what we came back with  – I’ve roughly put my goodies in there but it is just not organised enough for me yet – but that can wait till I have time!

As you can see I’m taking over the spare room – now any suggestions on how I can get rid of these golf sticks  in the corner – you could get a nice comfy chair in there or another unit??!!!………………………..

Some great news - well for me anyhow!
I have been asked to be the Guest designer for Funky Fairies Challenge!  Thanks guys  - it was a great birthday "pressie"!
Here is my card for this weeks challenge – Touchy Feely!
I just love these really funky papers, they are so cheerful - and boy do we need that now!
The papers are from Doodlemental download- ITS FREE – yes - you heard right - get them here and go create!
In fact there are sooooooo many freebies here if you look closely!
Now I'm sure some of you will have noticed that I am the Crazy Cat Woman and this stamp set from Woodware, called Groovy Cats,  just goes so well with these papers.
The textures I have added are flocking, (try not to cough or sneeze, or even breathe heavily when doing this - as I found out!) glossy accents and I distressed the cardstock edges - I love to do this - so therapeutic!

I am so looking forward to seeing every ones touchy feely creations"!  Come on everyone lets go create!



PS I am trying out Windows Live writer – this is an apology in case of errors cos I don't think I’ve quite “cracked” it yet!
