My Mission........ (and WOYWW)

........should I choose to accept it, is to clear my wall of all the things I have started, the things I have just had a go at, the things I have loved to play with and  then been at a loss as to what to do with!
Some of these items have been here a good long while, its time to dust them off and use 'em up!
I started my wall because I found that if I put stuff  in a drawer I forgot about it  - it transpires putting them on the wall amounts to the same - not that you can forget something you see everyday - ignore, perhaps!
This was the wall before......

Surprisingly I have managed to make oodles of cards out of all the images I have painstakingly coloured and a vase of paper flowers from several that I have made over the past year :-)

The black and white bag on my desk is a much loved Christmas pressie from my dear teenage son - I love it!

Oh, and of course the cat (Marius) - well hes my cat - is with me - he follows me everywhere, its like having a dog!
To have a good old nosey at other peeps workareas go and visit Julia
Until later

Lets be thankful for good friends

I have been asked to make a Thank you card for a very loyal and extremely thoughtful friend who was there when she was needed.

I can’t go into details but suffice to say it is acts like these that really touch the heart.

I have followed the theme on Stamptacular Sunday Challenge this week – friendship, with the colours black, white and silver.

Materials Used:

Cardstock, sentiment stamps and flower punch are all from Stampin’ Up. Stamped image “inside” flower is from Elusive Images at Graphicus.

Ribbons and gems in stash!

Craft blogging is a little slow at the moment – apologies to all – I have so much work and “shopping” to catch up on after the bad weather we have had for the past – 4? - weeks!

Keep well

In Shock! And Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Well, after my earlier rant and rave re the snow and lack of gritting down our steep, steep, road - I am now in shock - in fact I had to sit down!
Yes - you guessed it - we have just had the road cleared and gritted!!!!  Black tarmac appearing as I type! Bloody minded OH!!!! He is special!

On another shocking note I won a prize in the Stampman bloghop - yeah!  Thank you so much guys - made my evening!

On a completly different note - this is what was on my workdesk this Wednesday - he has been with me all day for cuddles - bless him - Siamese do NOT do cold!  He has had so many loves - I'm a mass of white hair!
To check out everyone elses desks look  here.

Just what you need on a snowy day!

I made this card this morning, inspired by Simon Says Stamp Challenge where the theme is Hot Chocolate!

So, at 06.10 I grumpily arose from my bed, looked out of the window and was surprised to see the same scene that left me the previous evening! None of this forecast snow storm!

So, of to shower, dress and breakfast (you should note here that I don't do mornings….).

Imagine my surprise – no, horror, shock - whatever you like to call it - when I go to step out to work – a blizzard, 4 inches of snow and – guess what?  I’m going nowhere!

Teenage son was his usual arrogant “I know best” self and strode off to get the bus to college – completely ignoring his Mothers calls, telling him the buses are not running, the college is closed……………at 08:44 he texts me – “no bus has come, what do I do”?!!!!!  Oh to be young again!!!

We are still in “campaign” to get this road gritted from the previous snow falls – even the salt bin, that the council removed several years ago would be welcomed back by all!

The current reason why we cant have it back – our road is too steep to get the bin here and to get the gritter down! YES – its too steep to get anywhere, we are all fully aware of this! – its a fairly new estate – who approved the plans????

OK rant over, have had to accept that we are not going anywhere at the moment and am just enjoying the serenity of it all!

Hope everyone is safe and warm!

Here’s to getting back to some sort of normality!

Its been a while!

………….since I’ve had time to enter Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!

This weeks theme is Party Time – and what better way to use up left over papers than to make sour cream containers filled with goodies to give away as party gifts!

Still have to get the knack of that paper crimper!

(For those of you that saw my  last post, you will recognise the papers – they are a free download from Funky hand – here!)

Stamps are from American Crafts

Ribbon in my leftovers box – another resolution of mine – use it up!!!!  Saves the pennies!

On a green note

Its 2010!

Lets celebrate – well I’m sure many of you did!

Hers a card to celebrate the arrival of the New Year!

Bathing in Champagne – what a waste!!!!!

Papers are all a free download from Funky Hand, get it here!

Image is a Penny Black, and the sentiment is from HOTP

I have used the sketch and theme from Allsorts Challenge – to use up new craft stash or old – well the papers are all a free download, the stamps I have had for ages.  Nobody dare buy me any new goodies unless under direct supervision in case they get it wrong!  (bit like me buying clothes for my OH – he is SO particular!)

I have also entered this card into the following challenges:

Stamping for the Weekend – New beginnings

Stamp Something – New somethings

Get Funky – spots and stripes

Colour Create – yellow, green

PBSC – Happy New Year
