Quixotic Challenge Candy

Quixotic Happy New Year candy is a MYSTERY GIFT PACK with a value of approximately £40!

quixoticpaperiemysteryprize

What do you have to do to be in with a chance of winning the prize?

Create a post on your own blog with the following:

  1. Details of this candy
  2. Your own favourite card of 2009 (from your personal creations).

The deadline is the 5th Jan 2010!

Now it was quite an eye-opener looking back – I started blogging in May this year so despite there not being a full year of cards to chose from, I still found it rather difficult to choose just one!

In the end I decided on this one – its a fairly new one but I am loving the colours!

Busy weekend!

Why or why is there not enough hours in the day, days in the week, weeks in the month.....................?
I just havn't had the time to create very much at all this week!
Maybe its the time of year?

I've spent all my day shopping and cleaning and I have so many ideas buzzing around in my head!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Think I need to start jotting them down - thats another thing - I am getting to the stage in my life when things fly into my head and then fly straight back out again!

Now this is what I have been following, I am glued to the screen, the man is such an inspiration! I want all the goodies he uses and I want to have a go at all the things he is teaching! Frustration setting in again!

This is what I am talking about!  Please dont tell OH - I have just had to order a few extra goodies so I can have a go at some of these techniques!

On another topic, tomorrow I am going to Craftwork Cards Christmas Event - yeah!!!! OH has paid for me to go! XXXXX to him!  Maybe he just wants a peaceful day! LOL

Hope everyone is well

WOYWW!

This makes my Wednesday!
A good old nosey around at everyone elses crafty lifes! See them all here!
As per usual work interferes with my crafty time - although it does fund it so I shouldnt complain!
So, on my desk is a Stampin' Up Catalogue - I want everything in there! Just having problems choosing - Emma - HELP!!!!
I am also in a "colouring in" mood this week - so have got out the twinkling H2O's and am painting :-).
All of a sudden everyone wants a card for this and a card for that, hence a variety of images!  The stamps are from Kraftin' Kimmie, Little Claire Designs and Sugar Nellie
The Kraftin' Kimmie stamps are a newish purchase and I love 'em- so much larger than I had imagined and so easy to colour ;-)
Ok - lets get back to the painting!
Talk later!!!

Yikes!

This morning came the sudden realization that is it the 1st December on Tuesday!

I had planned to make an Advent Calendar ................. weeks ago!!

So this is what is keeping me busy today!
Trouble is now that it is nearly finished I think its a wee bit too sophisticated for my teenage son - I made it with................ well, with me in mind!!!

The idea came from the Craft Stamper magazine (last months).  It is 24 matchboxes (bought here) glued together,  painted initially with Gesso
and then metallic acrylic paint and edged with silver.

I then lovingly messed up embossed Mirri board with acrylic paint for the sides :-).
Its kept me quiet all afternoon!

I think son may have to do with a shop bought one! Bless!
Somehow I dont think he will  be bothered!

Love to all

WOYWW

Its that time of the week again!
I'm afraid theres not much going on tonight - I'm shattered - far, far to busy at work!

Anyhow, this I got in the post today and decided to have a little play with different inks to see which works best.
Remember the John Bull printing system you had as a child??? Suppose it depends on your age group........well this reminds me of that!  They are JUST RITE ...The Nestabilities Rubber Stamps and I got them from Once Upon a Stamp.
The pencil pot at the back with my Marvy's in is a nearly completed Graphicus retreat project made from ATC sized stampbord, and in the middle is a nearly finished tag and a another stampbord box just to side of it!
Off to have a nosy at everyones desks now - see them here.

Hugs to all

Some Completed Projects from Paradise!

Well, I have finally managed to complete some of the projects from Graphicus’ first ever Paradise Retreat!IMGP1794
This is a card made with stamping onto acetate and then backing with gold leaf.
IMGP1802This is a stitched accordion book – I have to say we all did very well here considering the time of day that we had needle and thread in our hands!
IMGP1803 Jean Hardy from Crafty Individuals taught this particular project – A “Shrine”.  Can you spot the deliberate mistake???
IMGP1798  IMGP1795 IMGP1799 IMGP1796
And Glenda showed us all how to make this wonderful “Diptych Dreams” arched book.
I still have a couple of tags to finish and two stampbord boxes! However I haven't made a card for a week and now have challenge starvation fever so off to try and accomplish that – family allowing – they’ll be wanting their Sunday Lunch/Dinner!
