Yesterday myself, plus friend were invited to "QVCs' Craft Event 2009" in London!
What a great day we had!
My friend, who does make her own cards but is not as addicted to the stash as "little old me", learnt loads and was very pleased with her new stash!
We met loads of wonderful people, made loads of stuff, (took piccies of some!) came away with a bag full of goodies each and got to see some of the new kits. We also did a stamping class with Lindsay Mason :-)
There was so much going on we didn't have time to play at everyones stands - however thats probably our fault - we talk far too much!
All the craft persenters were there - Dawn Bibby, Rosemary Merry, Leonie Pujol, Amy Shaw plus Catherine Huntley (I have to mention here how lovely and gorgeous they all are, TV does not do them justice) and all the generous folk representing their companies who took the time to let us all play and create with their products!
I particularly like the new Martha Stewart stuff they have coming up - not just punches but loads of great glitters and papercrafting for Christmas.
Kanban had new kits too that are great, I really like their new B&W kits and some new great stamps also :-)
Craftwork cards were there also and I'm already a fan of their stuff - I love their Christmas papers. My friend got really excited here since we all made a Christmas gift bag filled with Quality Street - it was the chocolate that drew her in, but I now know what everyone will be getting for Christmas from her!
Oh, and Dawn Bibby has designed her own range with Kanban - cupcakes galore - anyone who knows me will realise that I am now dribbling!
Oh happy days! All I can say is, that its a good job its my birthday in 2 weeks, I have a "small" list of stash I now want (should that be need?!) LOL
It was a long day, we didn't get home til 10pm and my legs ache this morning and despite a mini adventure on the circle line in London we both had a great time.
Thank you QVC for inviting us!
