One of my favourite things......

........is a lovely cuppa tea!
Its well known among my family and friends that this is my favourite tipple - the only time I refuse is, if I am ill!

This weeks challenge on SSC is to make something other than a card, and I suddenly remembered I had bought several canvas's and easels the last time I was at the Range - I was gonna do allsorts of inky things with them and had not got round to it yet!

So I combined the two thoughts!

My son saw my creation earlier and said " put it up every time you want a cuppa Mum and I'll get you one!"  (sits down in shock).

Anyhow I think it will go to live in the kitchen - too cute not to!

Ingredients:
House Mouse, Feeling Rosy stamp
Image and canvas covered in  Distress Inks
Distressed the rim with Distress Powder (Faded Jeans)
Flower, handmade - as is the paper (covered roughly in Distress ink and then over stamped with flourishes) I punched them out of!
McGill flower punch  Floriano Flower
KurePunch Medium - Heart Petal Flower
Pearl from Kanban.

Well, back to the work thing tomorrow!
Work hard everyone!!!!! LOL

Sunday Sketch and Stamp 11

Where has my Joie de Vivre gone? I have not wanted to "craft" all week!
Mind you, this week is up there with "most stressful" of weeks and I have to admit I'm exhausted - and its not over yet!
And the main cause of it all - bureaucracy!
Anyhow enough of my whingeing!

OH came home from work yesterday, creeping and crawling - he had forgotten his bosses birthday and asked if I would make a belated card for everyone to sign!
Probably just what I needed to de-stress a little.
So here it is - I used the sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp who are also in Pink Petticoat heaven!
All papers are from Pink Petticoat, as is dig-stamp - coloured with chalks and lots of glamour dust!
I love making my own flowers - great way to use up bits or paper!

Here's hoping the week eases off!

- and ...........some charms(Hobby House for Chrimbo and Halloween)!

LOL

I made this card this afternoon for the PBSC, using the sketch that they had provided.

Feeling Sentimental!

Tomorrow my "baby" starts 6th Form College!
Where did the time go?
At 16 he now towers over me and exhibits all the usual male teenage traits - his use of the English language is now very basic, conversations consist of a grunt here and a ugh there and his bedroom, otherwise known as the "Cave", scares me, and I have to admit there are days when I haven't the courage to venture in.

Where did that sweet boy go, who used to come for a cuddle and like nothing more than snuggling in my bed? Now, I am nothing but an embarrassment to him, he walks at least 6ft in front of me if we go anywhere and I am now know as - "Mother, you're a freak"!
LOL ( if I'm honest I do work at this title - I love a good wind up!)

He would be mortified if he knew I had written this, but then that's part of my freaky nature! I have a reputation to live up to after all!
Anyhow, Jake if you ever read this I want you to know how much I love you and that I am proud of you!
Just make sure you work hard at college - no slacking off now! And, yes you know I'll make sure that you don't!

I had coloured in this image yesterday - I love these cat stamps!
And was not knowing what to do with it, until I came across this challenge - Crafty Cardmakers which had a great sketch that just suited it!

Well, then I couldn't find a backing paper in the right colour - so what does one do?
Yup - make your own!

All stamps are from Design House C'attitude plate, rectangular paper is from BG, Granola.

Survived.... and shocked!

......how much did it cost to go on the bus?!!!!!!!!! - I thought it was supposed to be good value to encourage peeps to stop using cars, be "green" etc etc! Shocked Suzy!

Anyhow we survived, there are no bus stops near home so had plenty of exercise today finding the right stop - you wouldn't think we lived close to two major cities!
Gosh, I'm having a moan!
LOL

At least young son now knows how to get to and from college and his dear mother has invested in a bus pass for him - with a warning of "do not lose!"

Watch this space!

Nighty night everyone
SuzyX

Friday Fun Day!

"Today is going to be fun" - this is my mantra today!

I am bus training teenage son, who starts 6th form College next week to do his A'levels!

Now, I have not used a bus for years, so it will be the blind leading the blind - he is unaware of this - wish me luck - it will be a mini-adventure!

I have prepared, studied bus timetables, read up on the local travel website, packed the rucksack, got out the waterproofs and boots - OK, are we ready then?
Lets go!

(when I can get him out of bed! LOL)

Everyone have a good day - am I going to try too!

I have fallen in love with this little cutie, so I decided to have a go at a House Mouse challenge!
This weeks challenge is to make a :

Gift card Holder.

Here's mine - hes just so cute with his jelly beans!

I found a tutorial on You Tube that explains how to make it - real simple!

The only gift card in the house, to make sure I had got the dimensions right was a "Game" one - its a masculine household (apart form me of course) and doesn't really go with the card I made but needs must and all that!
Papers used - Papermania Signature, Regency
Stamp used - Mudpie Holds Jellybeans
Flowers are from Prima.

Well, its back to work tomorrow - kinda glad, at least the decorating is finished and I can get back to some sort of normality!

Hugs
